D1 Moving
Services: Local Moving, Long Distance Moving, Packing, Storage, Office Moving, Decommissioning, Residential Moving, Commercial Moving
Division 1 Moving & Storage was established in 2015 by Jake Harrison after seeing a unique opportunity to fill a gap in the industry. After Jake’s personal experience of growing up in multiple neighborhoods in the greater DC Metro Area, he noticed the stress that often comes along with moving. Figuring that his genuine care for people and dedication to quality services would provide customers peace of mind, the Alexandria Branch of Division 1 Moving & Storage was born!
What started with a pickup truck and trailer hitch has steadily grown into a 15 truck fleet, 30 full-time employees, and multiple climate-controlled warehouses throughout Northern Virginia. Our DC Metro-based service area can deliver anywhere in the United States, Canada, and now international.
D1 Moving Reviews:
I have moved both business and home several times within the DMV area and used 4 separate moving companies. I have had such a positive experience working with Jake (the owner) and his crew. You should do yourself a favor and call him stat. I found so much comfort in being able to have direct communication with the owner. You know that he wants to make you happy because it’s his business. He is very responsive, professional, and has made my life SO much easier. I appreciated their patience, flexibility, responsiveness, honesty, and continued support weeks after my move. Most helpful for me was that they’re weren’t any language barriers. The men are all bilingual so you can get more done because that barrier is removed.! 1/2025 Andy N | Read More D1 Moving Reviews

Erik, Deion, Akeem and Andre were excellent movers and Erik and Deion provided excellent packing skills the day prior to moving. After residing at a place for 33 years there was a lot to pack and move. These men were professional at all times and had excellent customer skills and demonstrated a lot of patience with me.I would recommend Cavalier movers as they got the job done and I am happily settled in at my condo.I have moved both business and home several times within the DMV area and used 4 separate moving companies.
